What's the story?
TEN great PARANORMAL COZY MYSTERIES in one EBOOK COMPILATION. Come along with novice white witch Penzi Munro and her handsome sidekick shapeshifter Felix as they solve ten terrifying murders in the French seaside town of Beaucoup-sur-Mer!
Penzi’s life is changed for ever when she receives a letter from her deceased father’s lawyers in Notting Hill Gate, London, telling her she’s a white witch like her long-absent mother. As if this is not startling enough, the will decrees that she must take her two younger brothers, Jimbo and Sam, together with their two German shepherds, to live in his house in France. In doing this, Penzi has to give up her career as a barrister with a burgeoning portfolio of clients and face an unknown future.
What awaits the young family in Beaucoup-sur-Mer is worse than anything Penzi could ever have imagined in her direst nightmares. True, her mother has resurfaced and prepared the house for them, but she hasn’t touched the garden which hides a gruesome secret.
Penzi has to deal with all this and begin her training as a white witch. Realizing she could use magic to help solve the crime, she finds she can’t read the medieval script of her Book of Spells - her dyslexia can’t cope with it. She needs help. A timely delivery drops a clever Savannah cat on her doorstep; he proves to be something of a shapeshifter. Enter Felix, the handsome feline dude!
Meanwhile, her mother is arrested for the murder. What is Penzi to do? She appeals to the High Council of the Guild of White Witches who grant permission for Felix to be her assistant in the fight for good against evil.
This dedicated, intelligent duo tackle ten mysteries, often risking life and limb in their fight against man’s wickedness. The murders pile up on one after the other in Penzi’s favorite patisserie, the Cognac Blues Festival, the oyster fields, the cognac vineyards and the opium poppy fields. Then there’s the problems with the desecration of the town’s cemetery and the exploding wild boar population. All the while, the hushed-up local history of World War Two hovers over the town and the antique shop attached to the family’s new home.
Will this brooding secret from long ago ever be disclosed?
Ten addictive stories. This blend of mystery and magic makes them perfect reading for fans of Agatha Christie and a certain young boy wizard.

Things are a little bumpy at first. And then they get worse. Their mother is arrested on suspicion of murder when a body is found in an ancient fridge in their nightmare of a yard. Penzi is now her mother’s only chance and has to use her newly discovered magic. However, Penzi can’t read her Book of Spells. What’s she to do? Will the High Council of the Guild of White Witches heed her plea for an assistant?
2 : The Witch who Loved Eclairs - Penzi and her family are settling down to their new life in Beaucoup-sur-Mer. At last, Penzi can find out what treasures are stored in the antiques shop attached to their centuries old house on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. However, evil is never far away, even in this quiet little town. It’s not long before Penzi receives an urgent phone call from the mayor asking her to help him with his latest crisis. Felix, Penzi’s multi-talented and sexy bodyguard, tries to stop Penzi from taking up the challenge, but Penzi is a newly committed white witch who says, “A witch has to do what a witch has to do.” So, family life is put on hold again while Penzi adds to her portfolio of spells in her fight to bring the murderer to justice.
3 : The Witch who Got the Blues - The nasty cockroach has its claws in Penzi. That’s what they call the blues in France. Penzi is tired out after moving her family to France, learning to be a witch and solving two murders in under three weeks. Enter Jonny Sauvage, sexy blues guitarist from New Orleans, on tour in France with his band. Golden lad and classic bad boy, he's happy to play his music and sow his wild oats anywhere. Penzi likes him, but it turns out not everyone’s a fan.
4 : The Witch who Found a Pearl - Penzi thinks herself lucky when she finds a beautiful pearl in her lunchtime oyster. Her friend Izzy suggests they visit the oyster farm from which the pearl came. She has no idea she is launching Penzi and Felix on a perilous investigation into the murky history of a region torn by war throughout the ages. Penzi’s self-confidence falters when she stumbles upon a second dead body, but with Felix and her friends Izzy and Garth beside her, she adds the wisdom her lucky pearl brings her to her developing skill as a white witch and surges ahead in her determination to bring the perpetrators to justice.
5 : The Witch who Saved Christmas - Penzi and Felix are once again called upon in the fight of good against evil. This time it's Christmas Eve. A vile and evil monster is trying to sabotage Santa's delivery of Christmas presents to the children of the world. Penzi wants to stay home and have a family dinner, but Felix reminds her that a witch has to do what a witch has to do. Of course, Penzi does what she has to do with the help of the High Council of the Guild of White Witches.
6 : The Witch who Foiled the Plot - At last Felix can keep Penzi out of danger. Or can he? With enough to live on for the rest of their lives, they no longer need to work for a living. However, when evil comes knocking at the door again, Penzi once more has to choose whether to take up the fight for good or rest on her laurels. Her new friends, who own vineyards and a distillery in Cognac, have fallen foul of the powers of greed and wickedness. Well, you know our Penzi. What do you think she'll do? Let it go, or throw herself into the battle?
7 : The Witch who Hated Halloween - Penzi’s always hated Halloween. This year it’s the pits, the worst one ever. Her supernatural arch enemy is out to get her. While Penzi is busy cleaning up the mess left in the town cemetery by local vandals, her foe launches his attack. Once Penzi becomes aware of his assault, she knows she's tempting fate by carrying on with the work. However, La Toussaint (All Saint’s Day) is one of the most important festivals of the year in France. The townspeople of Beaucoup-sur-Mer can’t be allowed to find their holy site in such a state of desecration. Penzi and Felix must see the job through to the end and ready the vaults and graves for the next day’s family visits despite the mounting danger. This time it's a fight to the death between Penzi and her archenemy.
8 : The Witch who Risked the Shot - Accident or grisly murder? Either way, the body goes missing. To lose one body may be regarded as carelessness, but to lose two smacks of intent. After a harrowing Halloween, Penzi’s had enough of villains, but the powers of darkness will not leave the little French seaside town of Beaucoup-sur-Mer in peace. The mayor sets Penzi and Felix, her leopard shapeshifting sidekick, the task of finding a solution to the explosion of the wild boar population. What starts out as a carefree environmental study ends in unimaginable horror.
9 : The Witch who Picked a Poppy - Delicate white petals flutter in a summer’s breeze. All the while, cruel hearts beat to the rhythm of an evil drum. White witch Penzi and her assistant Felix, the shapeshifting leopard from the Middle Congo, are no strangers to wickedness, but they don’t expect their carefree trip into the French countryside for a family picnic to be the prelude to yet another batch of murders. Say France and poppies and most people conjure up a vision of the scarlet wildflowers of the battlefields of World War One and our remembrance of all who died there. However, a century later, it’s the violet-tinged white poppy that takes center stage. It's an important contributor to the country’s economy. But all is not well in the local poppy fields. Once again, Penzi heeds the call to restore the balance of good and evil in the surroundings of her new hometown of Beaucoup-sur-Mer. Felix tries but cannot hold her back. Penzi stays true to her vocation. Of course, Felix gives in and is there to help and protect her.
10: The Witch who Forged a Monet - Mass-produced prints or original masterpieces? Someone’s watching Penzi and Felix investigate. Someone who’ll not stop at murder. At long last, white witch Penzi and her sidekick Felix, the shapeshifting leopard from the Middle Congo, find themselves with the time to return to their task of sorting out the contents of the brocante or antiques shop next to their house in Beaucoup-sur-Mer. Months ago, they cleaned and tidied up the place, disposing of the obvious dross. Now, it’s time to arrange for the valuation of the paintings and sculptures that remain. The assessor from the Louvre in Paris tells Penzi and Felix he’s being shadowed. Once again, Penzi and Felix deal with the echoes of the unhappy history of the region. Someone knows more about the provenance of the artworks than he does. Who and why?
